Well I will..
Youre first album is absolutely amazing and I really hope the second one is coming soon! And I also hope you pay attention to the bass. Track 3 on the first album for instance should have much more bass. And all the other songs aswell. You know like "fat of the land"-bass.
Good to know there are bands like you out there that mix electronic music and rock music. Prodigy tried to do it, but they did not succeed imo. You guys are way better
Now, speed up!!!

Coming very soon will be a rocking remix package of 3 tunes from the debut album.
It will include 2 mixes available on vinyl and download by renowned breakbeat producer Steve Lavers, a storming and uplifting version of 'King and country' which looks set to become a nu skool breaks anthem in no time at all, followed by a pounding electro version of 'Free-fall'
The third mix of 'wasted on me' is by Break beat queen Odissi, a mix that has already received widespread acclaim from breaks producer and again will rock ya sox off! This release will be download only.
Band main-man Jim Davies had this to say on the release : "We're all really excited by this release, ive always said that i wanted Victory pill to be able to cross genres easily and effortlessly and this remix package backs that up. Myself and Pete Crossman are currently way into the second album, which has taken a far more electronic slant than the first, so this package can only make the bands transition in the dance scene smoother!'
The remixes will be released via the well respected breaks label 'Cyberfunk' : (www.myspace.com/cyberfunkmusicgroup -www.cyberfunkmusic.co.uk) in the next month or so and will be available on vinyl and through download sites like Beatport and itunes. We'll let you know the moment we have a actual release date- but for now check out the 3 new clips now up on the bands myspace. Get ya dancing shoes on!

- - JIM DAVIES New myspace ! - -
- Posted on 05/03/2008 by VP -- 0 comments- -
Jim Davies has a new myspace !! Go and check it out now ! Loads of news, photos, videos, tunes and infos !!
The new Hyper album is now finished and due out this summer, it features lots of axe work from my good-self and ive done vocals for one track as well. Should be gigging loads this summer with Hyper.
The tune that's up on the Jim Davies myspace page is an unmixed version of one track from the instrumental guitar album ive just finished, ALL the sounds are guitar generated, (except the drums and bass obviously!) V.P man Pete Crossman has produced and mixed it and co-written a few tracks. I plan to release a single from this album in the next few months, more on that later but what i will say is its...much faster than 'Rubicon' and you'll be able to dance to it while nutted!
The second Victory pill album is coming on a treat too, we are over half way through, the new stuff is sounding amazing, a slight direction change but not an entirely unexpected one im sure, far more electronic.
Im also working on an album with Breakbeat artist 'Odissi'- its called 'Sex and circuitry' the myspace is HERE.

- Posted on 21/12/2007 by VP -- 0 comments- -
What better way to end 2007 than with a stonking album review from the state side based website melodic.net : Victory Pill will please your thirst for industrial rock if you want a metal version of Prodigy, VP is the new band of Prodigy/PitchShifter guitarist Jim Davies and Prodigy drummer Kieron Pepper. Jim also handles the vocal duties in a cool 70's punk style and Kieron plays the bass on this record, this is a 100% electronic record where only a few moments remind of PitchShifter. The instrumental "Scaremonger" sounds like a cousin to Prodigy's "Firestarter" and the industrial punk of "King and country" really gets my heart pumping. "Another clone" sounds like it could've be written for PitchShifter but the highlight is "Worst case scenario" with a chorus that will stick to your head for weeks. We also get a taste of the orient in "Red pill", lots of cool harmonies in that song for sure. I do hope this won't be a one album band.
Thanks to everyone who came to the gigs and brought the album this year, lots of exciting stuff coming up early nexy year, we've had some amazing remixes done by some top dance D.J's that have taken our heads off!! We plan to release a 12" through a well known dance label early next year, watch this space. Happy new year and Xmas Victory pill (Jim,K.P,Pistol,Al)

Fantastic stuff! Went in last Monday and HMV didn't have out on the shelf so made them go and get it from their stockroom. Great from start to finish. Good metally-dancy stuff with a good mix of slightly slower, more laid back stuff. More please!
Fantastic album, fantastic band, fantastic live performance, lets hope we see more you you guys in scotland, maybe further norht than glasgow next time. Try Inverness so the HMV will take note and stock the album.

Check out the review of the album from Subba-Cultcha !
"As you might well expect from the brainchild project of Jim Davies, former axe-man for Pitchshifter and The Prodigy, Victory Pill's début long-player is a hard-hitting amalgamation of powerful guitar work and industrial beats with a strong political flavour." ...

- - VP SIGN UP FOR CORPORATE PUNISHMENT IN AMERICA! - -
- Posted on 10/08/2007 by VP -- 0 comments- -
V.P are very pleased to announce that their debut album will be released in America and Canada through CORPORATE PUNISHMENT RECORDS. As Jim explains "We have been really careful when deciding who to work with in the states for this record's release, it was really important that we find the right people who genuinely loved the album rather than a record company who we'd have little contact with and wouldn't work the record should it not blow up in the first week of release!. The guys at C.P have a great ethos and are chomping at the bit to get at this album out there, its really refreshing to work with a record company in todays climate that are so egar and hands on."
Label owners Thom Hazaert and Eric Nielsen have an amazing past record in the business, working bands such as, Korn, Limp Bizkit, The used, Cold, Glassjaw, My Chemical Romance and Nine inch nails amongst others. Thom Hazlet had this to say regarding the VICTORY PILL release : "The minute I heard Victory Pill I was instantly blown away. Jim Davies and Kieron are both such amazing, interesting musicians with an incredible pedigree. We're extremely proud to welcome them to the family."
The album will be released stateside on OCTOBER 26TH.
